The first weekend in October started crazy (mega floods) and ended crazy fun (with Lauren and Mike’s awesome wedding) on Bald Head Island, NC. Everyone braved flood waters, wind, ferrying people and gear but as if all prayers had been heard, on the wedding day, the weather was BEAUTIFUL.

The wedding was held at the house named A Place to Wade. Lauren and her brides maids got ready there and the guys came from a house down the road. The flowers were done by Brunswick Town Florist out of Southport. All the details were coordinated by Cara with A Southern Soiree.

Once the ceremony ended everyone headed to The Bald Head Island Club where Shauna and her crew did an amazing job ! The reception site was stunning ! From there everyone ate, drank and danced and danced and danced ! DJ Joe Bunn, despite having his equipment dumped into the water on the way to set up, rocked the house hard ! Good times had by all.

This handkerchief was embroidered by her Grandfather, given to her Grandmother on THEIR wedding day and the little rosette center is a piece from Laurens mothers bouquet when she got married to her dad. So cool

The wind in Lauren’s dress was so beautiful. I love the look on Mike’s face when he sees her for the first time. This is the benefit of two photographers.
