Jessica and Justin were a great couple to work with over the months leading up to their wedding. There was never a shortage of smiles. They were so excited to be marrying each other. Their happiness and love were and still are infectious.
We started the day at The Hilton Riverside. There was GREAT concern for the weather. Who knew that all around us there were tornadoes and severe storms. Once we arrived at Airlie Gardens the clouds definitely parted for Jess & Justin. Airlie was SO BEAUTIFUL ! Everything was in full bloom. Jess & Justin decided to do two neat things. One, a butterfly release in honor of their grandparents and also, they passed a single strand of ribbon around to all the guests, and as Jess & Justin were saying their vows, the guests moved their wedding rings along the ribbon. Basically, all the guests were “involved” in the ceremony as everyone touched the set of rings. Cool.
After the ceremony we had fun taking some pics around the gardens & then we headed off the The Balcony on Dock. Because of the storms, Bekah and her crew at The Balcony decorated both upstairs & downstairs. A Beautiful Event and Justin (with his string slighting skills) had the place looking magical ! Guest had a blast with our CAPture It! screen. Dressing up and taking photos always raises the fun meter !
It was love, laughter, fun, booty shakin’ filled evening. We loved every minute guys ! Thank you

Here is the story behind the letter in the frame: “My Grandmother Margery Ann (my mothers mom) wrote a letter (the day after she married my grandfather Robert Corbey), to her mother Ruth Powderly Helm (the original owner of our engagement ring) thanking her for the wedding and talking about the first day of their honeymoon! The letter is dated April 16, 1952. I loved that we were married the day after my grandparents wedding anniversary… I know it was the 2 of them who had the sun shine for us
P.S. My great grandmother Ruth was a nurse for Presidents Harding & Wilson.”

Bye ! Happy Life
